Lollapalooza Tie Dye Shirts

The "Rock + Recycle" initiative was a hit, fostering a sense of responsibility and camaraderie among festival attendees. It also turned the festival grounds into a cleaner, more sustainable environment reinforcing the “Leave no trace” mentality.

Lollapalooza, one of the world's premier music festivals, sought to make their Chicago event in 2023 even more memorable. Beyond the incredible music, Lollapalooza wanted to create a unique and sustainable experience for festival-goers. They partnered with Liveprinting.com to bring a creative twist to the festival and encourage attendees to participate in sustainability efforts.

Liveprinting.com, known for their inventive event experiences, set up an onsite screen printing activation within the festival grounds. They printed retro Lollapalooza designs from past years, instantly turning nostalgia into wearable art. However, this activation offered more than just custom t-shirts. It incorporated a recycling initiative called "Rock + Recycle." Festival-goers could visit the tent to receive bags to collect trash from the festival grounds in exchange for a special token. These tokens could be redeemed at Liveprinting.com's booth, where attendees could choose from four exclusive t-shirt designs available only to those who participated in the recycling effort.

The "Rock + Recycle" initiative was a hit, fostering a sense of responsibility and camaraderie among festival attendees. It also turned the festival grounds into a cleaner, more sustainable environment reinforcing the “Leave no trace” mentality.

Liveprinting.com also offered festival-goers the chance to add a personalized "Lineup" to the back of their official merchandise, creating a special memento of the festival experience.

The collaboration with Lollapalooza showcased the potential of combining creativity and sustainability at major events. By offering personalized merchandise and encouraging recycling efforts, the activation elevated the festival experience and with no wasted or unused inventory there wasn’t a bunch of unsold and unusable shirts like there traditional are at festivals.
